Copper T1 Extender Products
The following products extend your T1 demark or smart-jack when it is not located near your T1 equipment. All these products extend the T1 using copper wire infrastructure.
The Data Connect Copper-T Extenders use repeater technology to extend the T1. They use 4 wires. So you bring your 4-wire T1 into the boxes...you go across 4 wires to the far end...then back to 4 wire T1. These repeaters are typically used in pairs and are long proven in the field.
The Patton 2115 units use a different technology. They transport the T1 signaling across DSL and then back to T1. The Patton units have the advantage of using only 2 wires -- a single twisted pair -- and they work at far greater distances -- up to 3 miles. The Patton 2115 sets extend T1 circuits very inexpensively to more than 3.5 miles (18,500 feet or 5,600 meters). Simply take them out of the box, put them on either side of the dry copper pair, connect your T1 or E1 device and the circuit will light up immediately!
