You get accurate lead-time information.  Patton Electronics, like Dell Computers, operates very efficiently on a "build-to-order" basis.  They do not inventory their own product.  Most jumbo-drop-ship resellers will quote you a lead time that is nothing more than a guess.  "4-7 days", they say.  But, as with all high-product-mix manufacturers, lead times on some products can be two or three weeks and sometimes longer.  When you order from DCE Express, if we don't have stock, we check the factory for lead time estimates and when you order, we give you the date your order is scheduled to come out of production.  When you buy from us, you plan your installs with confidence.

Unlike the clone resellers whose sites feature everything from hearing aid batteries to OC3 multiplexers, we know the Patton Electronics product line.  When you call us, we know more than the tele-clerk who is reading from his screen and may have never heard of what he is selling -- and certainly has never seen what he is selling.  Recently, a customer called us after he was quoted a price by one such company.  The customer was given pricing on an Ethernet Extender solution from Patton Electronics.  When the price seemed about half of what it should have been, we discovered that the poor tele-clerk didn't realize that Ethernet Extenders must be purchased -- in pairs.  Super-Jumbo-Drop-Ship resellers cannot know their products well.  We know the Patton product line and often suggest less expensive, or more effective solutions.
