The new USB 2.0 Icron Ranger 2101 and 2104 extenders represent a significant milestone in the USB market supporting USB 2.0 peripheral devices at speeds up to 480 Mb/s over a distance of 100m/330 ft, doubling the extension distance of 50m/165ft of the previous generation.
Powered by patented Icron USB Extender technology, the USB 2.0 Icron Ranger 2101 supports a single device port; the USB 2.0 Icron Ranger 2104 supports four device ports via an integrated hub. Both solutions enable host computer and peripheral extension over standard Category 5 UTP cable.

The USB Ranger 110/140 is designed for end user applications. It provides all the flexibility of extended range USB in a ready-to-use package. The USB Ranger 110/410 is fully compliant with the USB 1.1 Specification and delivers all of the benefits of USB, including remote device powering, plug and play operation, and cross-platform flexibility.
USB Ranger products are composed of two separate units: the Local Extender (LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). Conventional USB cables are used to connect the LEX unit to the host computer and to connect one or more remote USB devices to the REX unit. Category 5 UTP cabling is used to connect the LEX and REX units over a distance of up to 100 meters.
The USB Ranger 110/410 products offer the flexibility of locating the power at either the LEX or the REX. Depending on where the power adapter is located, both the USB Ranger 110 and the USB Ranger 410 can support both high-power and low-power USB devices.

The USB Ranger 422 extends the benefits of Icron USB Extender USB Extender technology to greater distances! The fiber-optic transmission system built into the USB Ranger 422 enables you to place USB devices 500 meters away from their host. Since the USB Ranger appears to the operating system to be a generic USB hub, it is compatible with all operating systems that support hubs Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, Apple, Solaris, Linux and more. No additional software is required!
All USB Ranger products are composed of two separate units: the Local Extender (LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). Conventional USB cables are used to connect the LEX unit to the host computer and to connect one or more remote USB devices to the REX unit. The LEX and REX units are interconnected with up to 500 meters of 2-strand multimode fiber (not included).

The USB Rover 1300 is optimized for applications where a single full-speed device, such as a webcam or printer, must be operated remotely. Icron's Rover products operate over standard Category 5 UTP cable (the same wiring used in Ethernet). The technology behind the product, Icron USB Extender, requires no additional software for either the computer or the target devices. USB Rover products are composed of two separate units: the Local Extender (LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). Conventional USB cables are used to connect the LEX unit to the host computer and to connect the remote USB device to the REX unit.
