Connect IG-202T modem is 100% compatible with the Bell 202T standard modems.
The Data
Connect IG-202T is implemented with the latest VLSI technology to replace
the old designs that were 20 years or older products. By using VLSI,
component count of the Data Connect IG-202T is much lower, which lowers the
failure rate and increase the modem’s mean time between failure (MTBF)
The Data
Connect IG-202T modems are built with industrial grade components and will
operate over the temperature range of -40 to +85 degree C. The MOT202T were
built with general commercial grade components and is guarantee to operate
from 0 to +50 C only.
The Data
Connect IG-202T has additional features (i.e. auto RTS) to support SCADA
equipment that does not provide the full RS-232 or RS-485 control signals.
The Data
Connect IG-202T equipped with 3 different types of surge protection devices
to guard against its power supply input and leased line interface. The
surge protection for the MOT202T has been minimum to non-existence.
The new modem
has a much smaller foot-print than the MOT202T modems. The Data Connect
IG-202T is about 30% the size of the MOT202T, and consumes less power.
Because of its low power consumption, it is now possible to operate the
modem in battery or solar powered environment
The new modem
will support 10 to 60 volts DC power supply, or can be powered by a factory
provided AC to DC converter from 100 to 240 VAC or 100-400VDC. This will
reduce customer’s inventory of modems and saving cost by stocking only one
model instead of two models.
The Data
Connect IG-202T modems support both RS-232 and RS-485 interface.
The Data
Connect IG-202T is designed with a microprocessor controller on-board, it
minimized the use of DIP switch or jumpers settings, which simplify
installation and cut down potential errors.
The Data
Connect IG-202T modems can be rack-mount (Data Connect IG-202T-RM), panel or
wall-mounted, or DIN rail mounting with the optional DIN rail mounting kit.
The rackmount
version will fit into the original Motorola RM16 chassis or the new RM16
chassis.
Supports will
be provided for repair, diagnose and analyze of your installation, network
connections and equipment.
