G.shDSL Routers
G.shDSL Routers, like Ethernet Extenders, extend Ethernet beyond its normal distance limitation over copper. But G.shDSL Routers also provide Layer 3 routing capability and they are configurable in ways that plug-and-play G.shDSL Ethernet Extenders are not. The Patton 3224 is G.shDSL DSLAM, or concentrator. This product multiplexes 24 G.SHDSL ports and presents them on a 50 pin cable. They are used in high density applications where many remote sites connect to a central location. We also recommend, and stock, the Patton 3201 G.shDSL router, the Patton 3241 G.shDSL router, and the Patton 3231 fully manageable G.shDSL router. These units can be used back-to-back in an application where you want to extend a single network Ethernet connection, or they can be used as remote units in conjunction with the 3224 DSLAM.
